The loom
Fifteen figures of light, never at rest. Choose one, move the hand, turn the fold, shift the ink; press Surprise for one you have not seen. What you make is the address, and the link keeps it.
The loom needs scripts to draw. Until they run, here is the flower lattice, still.
more
the nonagon. A kaleidoscopic fold, turned and nested: the house figure, and the cheapest. A tap a pulse of light; a drag turns the figure; the pointer leans the twist and the nesting.
the dendrite. The escape-time set: a seed walking the circle, filaments of light where the orbits part. A tap a pulse of light; a drag pans the plane with inertia; the wheel zooms.
the basins. Newton’s method: every point falls to a root, and the borders between the basins flow as the roots move. A tap a pulse of light; a drag takes a root and moves it; elsewhere pans.
the circle limit. A hyperbolic tiling in the disc: the same figure to the rim, smaller and smaller, flowing. A tap a pulse of light; a drag translates the tiling hyperbolically; the wheel changes the line density.
the plate. Chladni’s plate: the lines where a struck plate stands still, dissolving from one mode to the next. A tap strikes the plate; a drag retunes the modes.
the yantra. The Śrī Yantra, re-solved every frame: nine triangles breathing about the point, every crossing exact. A tap draws it again; a drag a crossing drags its height; elsewhere tilts the meru.
the seed. The Seed, the Flower, the Fruit, and Metatron’s cube standing up out of it. A tap the compass reveal again; a drag turns the lattice, or the lifted solid; the wheel scales.
the star. The star polygon {n/k}, gliding honestly from one k to the next, nested and turning. A tap a pulse along the path; a drag on the rim sets k; the wheel steps n.
the sunflower. Vogel’s head: florets sown at the golden angle, order falling into spokes and back. A tap returns to the golden angle; a drag across scrubs the fine angle; up and down the count.
the pen. A harmonograph, a spirograph, a rose: the curve is drawn, and fades like ink. A tap swings again from the pointer’s angle; a drag adds a third pendulum, your own.
the life. A cellular automaton: cells born and dying by a rule of neighbours, and worlds that were never told to live. A tap sows a cluster where you touch; a drag paints living cells.
the pool. Two chemicals feeding and killing each other across a pool: spots, worms and mitosis, grown, not drawn. A tap a drop where you touch; a drag stirs the pool.
the flock. Birds that know only their neighbours, and the one shape they make together. A tap a gust; a drag the flock follows the hand; hold, and it flees.
the tree. A branching rule repeated: the tree grows from a seed, and sways as if there were wind. A tap grows it again from the ground; a drag bends the wind.
the solids. The Platonic solids becoming their duals, the merkaba, the torus, and the regular figures of four dimensions turning in four. A tap the next stage; a drag turns the solid with inertia.
